Ending Season

Worst weather so far this season. During Saturday to Tuesday we only had decent visibility on Sunday morning. Not the best conditions for practicing ski photography, but we had fun skiing anyway. The cameras worked out the way I had hoped anyway; the 70-200 lens never felt too long when shooting moving skiers and the Panasonic GF3 with the 14/2.5 pancake lens fitted in my chest pocket without any problems. Some low light shots (ISO 1600) from the bar also turned out good.

Night train to the very north of Sweden. Panasonic GF3 and 14/2.5.

Apres ski on Grönan in Riksgränsen. Panasonic GF3 and 14/2.5.

First tracks (almost at least) down from Nordalsfjäll. Panasonic GF3 and 14/2.5.

Posing. Panasonic GF3 and 14/2.5.

Only morning with semi-good visibility. Canon 50D and 70-200/4L.

Canon 50D and 70-200/4L.

Lost?

Panasonic GF3 and 14/2.5.

The Micro 4/3 system doesn’t feel like a very good solution for fast moving subjects (because of the worse AF) but I think it will be a great complement to my 50D. I have even started eyeballing the Olympus E-M5 to have that as my main system 🙂
